Role overview

<ul><li>Lead end-to-end HR operations for the plant, ensuring smooth people management and workforce availability.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and implement plant-level HR policies, processes, and employee-engagement initiatives in alignment with company guidelines.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage complete employee lifecycle activities including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, exits, and final settlements.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring of permanent, contractual, trainee, and shop-floor workforce.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain employee records, personnel files, attendance data, leave records, shift rosters, and statutory documentation accurately.</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee attendance, payroll inputs, overtime, leave management, shift allowances, incentives, and wage-related coordination with the accounts/payroll team.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, factory-related regulations, standing orders, minimum wages, provident fund, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, professional tax, and other statutory requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with external consultants, labour authorities, government departments, and auditors for inspections, registrations, filings, notices, and compliance documentation.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage industrial relations and maintain a positive work environment across the plant.</li></ul><ul><li>Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, misconduct cases, warning letters, domestic enquiries, counselling, and conflict resolution.</li></ul><ul><li>Build strong relationships with workers, supervisors, union representatives, contractors, and departmental heads.</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and improve employee engagement, morale, retention, productivity, and workplace culture.</li></ul><ul><li>Plan and conduct employee welfare activities, recognition programmes, training sessions, safety awareness programmes, and communication initiatives.</li></ul><ul><li>Partner with the EHS and plant operations teams to promote statutory safety compliance, employee well-being, and a safe workplace culture.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage contractor workforce compliance, including labour licences, wage registers, attendance, statutory challans, insurance, and contractor documentation.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and present periodic HR reports on headcount, attrition, absenteeism, recruitment status, employee costs, productivity, disciplinary cases, and compliance status.</li></ul><ul><li>Support performance-management processes, goal setting, appraisal coordination, skill mapping, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct regular HR audits to identify gaps in documentation, payroll inputs, labour compliance, and employee-management processes.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist management in implementing workforce optimisation, cost-control initiatives, and HR automation at the plant.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain confidentiality of employee information, compensation data, disciplinary records, and management-sensitive information.</li></ul><ul><li>Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, or a related discipline.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience: 8–15 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant, factory, FMCG, engineering, chemical, automobile, or similar industrial environment.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Key Skills:</strong> Plant HR operations, industrial relations, labour law compliance, contract labour management, payroll coordination, employee engagement, grievance handling, recruitment, statutory compliance, HR reporting, and stakeholder management.</li><li><strong>Preferred Knowledge:</strong> Factory Act, Industrial Relations Code, wage-related laws, PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, contractor compliance, disciplinary procedures, and HRMS/payroll systems.</li></ul>
